The second series of The Walrus Was Paul – hosted by me, Paul Romanuk, is out now! Like Series One, Series Two will feature some of Canada’s top music people talking about their favourite Beatles or Beatles solo record, track-by-track. There is also lots of talk about their work and any influence listening to the Beatles may have had on it. Episodes of last year’s series regularly ranked in the Top 15 on Apple Canada’s listing of the most listened-to music interview podcasts.
Series Two will see the return of some great guests from the first series – Rheostatics co-founder Dave Bidini, Jim Cuddy and Colin Cripps of Blue Rodeo, former Barenaked Ladies member (and now great solo artist) Steven Page – just to name a few. There will also be some great guests making their TWWP debut. The great singer/songwriter/guitar player Terra Lightfoot tackles sides one and two of the iconic White Album. Terry Draper, co-founder of the great 70s band Klaatu, will be along to talk about the North American release Beatles ’65.
Episode One hit the podosphere on July 16, 2021, and features Bidini digging into the Beatles’ final studio release, 1970’s Let It Be. New episodes will drop every two weeks.
